Johnston makes fun movies as entertainment goes. They are not meant to be puzzling or brain- benders...just good clean fun.

Thanks for chiming in!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400729065298691238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298232811241447037.post-44630490720936072102011-11-26T22:34:13.921-08:002011-11-26T22:34:13.921-08:00Hello,

Maybe they were not the greatest, but some of them were pretty good.
Regards, Jason from Akron, OHIO.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298232811241447037.post-37720383828827323922011-11-26T18:26:19.592-08:002011-11-26T18:26:19.592-08:00Hi Kyle,
More than anything CINEMA: COUNTERPOINT ...Hi Kyle,

More than anything CINEMA: COUNTERPOINT values the opinions of all! That was one of the reasons why we created the blog. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts and ideas freely right here. I (JER) understand that Johnston isn't a Scorsese, Kubrick or Coppola... but there are some directors, in my opinion, that deserve a little recognition for the same reasons that their works aren't as noted as those mentioned.
Thanks again!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400729065298691238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298232811241447037.post-11680621806207591662011-11-26T01:51:41.272-08:002011-11-26T01:51:41.272-08:00Johnstons' movies are pretty overated I think ...Johnstons' movies are pretty overated I think also. Critic Chaz gets kind of a bad rap here and he states basically what is true. If the best movie you ever made was something like Jumanji or Captain America then I also do not think the director is really that great. This is just an opinion. -KyleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298232811241447037.post-32043538486890951552011-11-23T16:30:53.213-08:002011-11-23T16:30:53.213-08:00Hey Derek,

We are both passionate about our views and we do let them out!

Thanks again for your comments!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400729065298691238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-298232811241447037.post-45485636989077120292011-11-23T06:00:48.627-08:002011-11-23T06:00:48.627-08:00IT IS FUNNY TO WATCH THE TWO OF YOU GUYS GO AT IT ...IT IS FUNNY TO WATCH THE TWO OF YOU GUYS GO AT IT EVERY WEEK AND IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE ALWAYS ON OPPOSSITE SIDES OF THE COIN WHEN IT COMES TO MOVIES. I REALLY DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT JOHNSTON THE DIRECTOR BEFORE YOU TALKED ABOUT HIM THIS WEEK, BUT I HAVE SEEN MOST OF THE MOVIES HE HAS MADE. I AGREE WITH JER THAT MOST OF HIS MOVIES ARE STRICTLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT BUT I ALSO THINK JOHNNY CHAZ MAKES A GOOD POINT THAT JOHNSTONS' MOVIES REALLY DO NOT DO MUCH TO BUILD THEIR CHARACTERS IN THEM. THE "ROCKETERER" WAS OK, BUT I DO THINK THAT "JUMANJI AND CAPTAIN AMERICA" ARE HIS BEST MOVIES. * DEREK (SAN DIMAS, CA)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
